A group of students from Marsden High School visited Central Australia in the October holidays. Here are some of their comments on the trip:

The trip to Uluru was a great experience. One of my favourite times was when we were camping at Uluru for two nights. The best thing was the first night when we had a dress up night. Another great time was at Kings Canyon when we walked up Kings Canyon Rock. It was a very tiring walk but when we got half way there was a waterhole and we all went swimming. It was the best!! Mandi Leslie

My favourite place was Kings Canyon and the bus trips were fun as well. Ashley Watson

I liked that it was very flexible, the teachers weren’t very strict and they were fair in their dealings. It was a hell of a lot of fun with Brett the bus driver. Todd Bateman

My favourite part of the trip was walking up Kings Canyon even though the start was very steep. Anna Wotton

I enjoyed all our times spent at Coober Pedy because it was cool and the people were nice. Kath Ashford

My favourite part about the Central Australia camp was the tour of Coober Pedy. We saw the dugout houses and mines. Amelia Harding

It was very interesting climbing the mountain was good, walking around Ayers Rock was better. Jim Ko
