"The teaching of English fosters the development of students" ability to think and speak for themselves, read and write for pleasure, comprehend and evaluate the multi dimensional nature of literature, visual, print and multimedia and to express their understanding of their world."

We the English/ESL teachers at Marsden High school believe, that through a range of authentic and interactive experiences, our students can acquire the skills to explore and make judgments about the world around them.  We offer them the opportunity for authentic, creative, and challenging learning experiences so they can develop skills in reading, writing, speaking, listening, thinking, viewing and representing, so that they can express their growing understanding of themselves and their world.
